Current Travel Restrictions

The Trump administration is planning to impose restrictions on the travel of citizens from 41 nations, according to an internal memo leaked to Reuters. It has proposed three types of restrictions: total suspension of visas, partial suspension of visas for tourists and students, and partial suspension for nations that do not solve specific security issues.

The decision is reminiscent of Trump’s earlier travel ban on seven Muslim countries, which was also upheld by the Supreme Court in 2018. The order was later revoked by Former President Biden, whom he described as a blemish on the country’s “political conscience.” Trump signed an executive order mandating more stringent security screening for foreign nationals entering the US as well.

The list of affected countries includes:

Full Visa Suspension:
– Afghanistan
