💼 Legal Fees & Payment Information
As a licensed attorney and member of the Florida Bar, I’m committed to providing high-quality immigration legal services at fair and transparent rates. My flat-fee pricing model is designed to give clients clarity and predictability from the very start.
💰 Flat-Rate, Project-Based Fees
Most legal services are billed on a flat-fee basis, determined by:
- The type of immigration benefit you are seeking
- The scope and complexity of the case
Clients consistently value this approach because:
- You know the total legal fee upfront
- You avoid surprise charges or unexpected hourly bills
⚠️ Note: If a case ends before completion (e.g., due to a change in circumstances), unearned fees will be refunded in accordance with legal ethics rules. Attorneys are fiduciaries and must maintain accurate trust accounting and fair billing practices.
📦 Other Costs and Reimbursable Expenses
In addition to attorney’s fees, clients are responsible for reimbursing out-of-pocket expenses, including:
- Government filing fees (USCIS, NVC, etc.)
- Courier services (e.g., DHL, FedEx)
Depending on your case, you may also encounter third-party costs for:
- Document translations
- Credential evaluations
- Business or asset valuations
- Expert opinions (legal or academic)
- Accounting services or tax prep
- Foreign notary services
- Non-immigration legal representation
These costs are discussed in advance whenever possible.
⚠️ Important Disclaimer
Legal fees reflect my time, skill, and advocacy, but they are not outcome-dependent. I am not a government official and cannot guarantee approval. All decisions rest solely with U.S. immigration authorities.
🔄 Special Billing Arrangements
In rare or complex cases, fees may be billed:
- Hourly
- In stages (milestone-based)
Any such arrangement is made in advance, in writing, to avoid misunderstandings or unrealistic expectations.
I also strive to accommodate individual financial situations where appropriate. Payment plans or fee adjustments may be available on a case-by-case basis.
📝 Post-Filing Work
Some situations may require additional legal work not covered by the original fee, including:
- Attending USCIS interviews (including travel)
- Responding to Requests for Evidence (RFEs)
- Filing motions to reopen or reconsider
- Filing appeals
- Requesting consular review
These are assessed individually and discussed with the client as needed.
🤝 Discounted or Pro Bono Representation
I proudly offer:
- Reduced rates for qualifying non-profit organizations
- Pro bono representation in select humanitarian or hardship-based cases
Please inquire during your consultation if this may apply to your situation.
